Just got mine from 4x4groupbuy, $1039 shipped for 5

31x10.5 on 15x8 wheels

When I first got them mounted, the shop pumped them up to 45lbs, unbeknownst to me. I took them for a spin and it was like riding on wooden wagon wheels. Lowered them down to 30lbs all around and back to normal. They are louder than my old GSA's but not too bad.

I currently have the old stlye MTR's in 285/75/16 and love them. For guys that ran the old MTR's and switched, how do they compare? Is it still possible to purchase the old MTR's in this size, checked tire rack and they only seem to be making one size still.

Thanks.

Just got mine installed yesterday and love how quiet they are compared to my old Kumhos.

I have the new MTRs in the front of my XJ and the old style MTRs in the rear, a buddy of mine had 2 very good old style MTRs laying around so I used them. The new MTR's handle great in the snow/ice/rain, the old MTR's not so great. They are surprisingly quiet as well. I mounted them blackwalls out not knowing they were assymetical so I contacted GY and this what they wrote:

Thank you for contacting our website.

Tires that have an asymetrical tread design are made to dispurse the water away from the vehicle, if you turn them around then you will not get the benefit the tire was designed for. Regards, Teresa G Consumer Relations

So...I'm flipping them around the correct way today and just going to sharpie the blue/white letters black.

The new MTR's are great, can't wait til the old MTR's in the rear wear out...
