what did you use for brackets to attach the bumper to the frame? I'm making mine out of 1/4" steel 2x4. I was planning on using some 1/4 plate to attach it.

I made my brackets out of 1/4" steel plate.

OK, not a TJ or other Jeep bobtail, but "other Jeeps need some representin'...

I wanted to hang a Warn 8274 on the front of my XJ and there was only one aftermarket option available at the time - and I didn't like it. So this was whipped up from 2x6 square tube and steel plate.

I, as well, ran a 1/4" inch plate across the top and 3/16" for the bottom two bolts
