Would like to see some nice pictures of either a CJ-5 or CJ-7, always wanted one.

Hopefully one day I'd like to get one of my own and I think I would like the 350 Chevy Small Block with fuel injection. A Dana 300 transfer case, D44 axles, and either a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission, not sure what works best with the 350.

If anyone has a rig with these specs they should post as well, that would be badass.

Here's mine. It's not quite exact but it's pretty close. I am doing a smog legal 5.3 swap, 4l60e transmission, and I put in a Currie 9" rear end. ARB lockers front and rear. It should be back on the road in time for deer season!! My wife and I have a '12 JKU, but I enjoy my CJ7 so much more. There is just something cool about them in my opinion.

Beautiful, I love the look of CJs. And I agree, there is just something about them that makes them so much better. I love my TJ, but I think the CJ just has that true rugged Jeep appeal that none other has.

No, I did not paint it. In fact, I wanted blue. BUT, it has grown on me and I wouldn't change it now. There is some rock rash areas that have primer bandaids, so I may get it done soon, same color.

I do want to get up to Lake Isabella and the Keyesville area this fall. I used to spend loads of time up there as a kid ('70s) and even up to the mid '90s in our Scout. Love the area, lucky dog!

Thanks guys for the compliments!!

Super clean, You going fuel injected? Ya we gotta get up there and go run bodfish to Bakersfield or vice verse.

Yellow is sexy on a CJ. I'm not to much of the color itself normally or on any other veichle but it looks great on older jeeps. How much did the jeep cost you plus with what you've done to it you'd say?

Ya better figure on cashing in something LOL.

The PO put over 20k and I have put another 8k

The PO was a "motivated seller" though

Cheers!

Edit: I should add that the PO had most of the work done, I have only had her in the shop once, to tie in the exhaust. It is probably a balance in reality.

That's a bit to say the least. But I look at it this way, a brand new JK is about 30 grand (with some extras of course) and I'd much prefer a decked out CJ over a brand new JK

Love the Jeep
