Looks good. Is it a real CJ piece or a repo? Looks to be real...

Unzip the rear window at both sides and reach in and open the levers. Kind of a pain...but the benefits of having a actual tailgate for cooking while camping, mobile workbench and a place to sit.... are well worth the pain of going through the zipper.

Cotton I was think about doing the CJ swap but my friend told me that the CJ tailgates are weak and that his 2 uncle have bend them by sitting tool box and things on them. How well is your holding up cotton?

Mine is holding up great! I have heard that the reproduction CJ tailgates are a little less beefy. Mine is an original tailgate off of a 78 CJ so it is pretty solid!

I'm working on one for mine. I got the tailgate already. I was wondering if any of you could take pictures of them open so I could see how you made you brackets.

Swag Offroad has a kit for like $75 you can buy, that's where I got mine.

I bought a set of original latches from fleabay for like $20.

I'll post pics tomorrow, it's dark outside right now.
