CB Radio -radio and antenna mounting locations on a TJ

I know there are numerous CB threads out there but many are outdated. I'm looking for some new locations to mount the radio and antenna. Anything will help. Submit your pictures. Thanks

Went to Home Depot and bout shelf track for about 6 or 7 bucks. cut to fit over roll bars put hose clamp around roll bar through shelf track. I've made a couple changes to it but rack is still the same.

Run coax through roll bar padding to the back tail light and make an L bracket to mount antenna there. Or on the bumper.

The radio is screwed into the center dash bezel. Here is a pic of the 3' Firestik Antenna on a Teraflex mount

BTW ran power down pass pillar into dash at fuse block with fuse tap, zip tie wires into rack and it looks pretty clean.

The coax cable goes into the hole behind the taillight, then through the drain plug on the top of the inner fender, then along the side of the tub with all of the OEM wires

Thanks! If you want the wire even cleaner you can drill into the top of the taillight housing and run the wire through with a grommet

can anybody give me any feedback on this antenna mount? It looks like it might give a "factory" style look. It doesn't expose the cable because it attaches to the inside of the vehicle. Any possible objections?

I'm just worried that if I snag the antenna on something that it will try to rip the base off of the body.

That is exactly what I did and I'm happy with it.

CB mounts

No pics, but I've seen them done off the back bumper (if it's got a surface for it), um, you could do the military style, long ones that mount on the back bumper and come forward and are tied to the hood or front bumper, you could also mount it across from where the stock antenna is, so by the driver's door. My buddy has his mounted off of his spare tire carrier. Hope this helps.

Did a little fab with the welder for a CB mount. Used 1.5" x 3" tubing. I plan on flush mounting a couple of lights on the bottom of the bar since the dome light is not so bright.
