The PO had a poseur lift on it and a bunch of junk. I removed the poseur lift and installed funtional items and replaced everything he had done. I installed Savvy armor and Currie arms and many other things. Looks are good but function comes first.

Yeah I figured as much but what makes a "poser" lift?

Rough Country, Skyjacker et al. Meant to give the look and height to put the required big tires on but no substance or good function.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=poseur

I used the correct word, poseur, not poser.

The lift that was removed was sold to a kid down the road. I gave him a bunch of other removed nonfunctional and semi-functional items. A few days ago, I helped him, with my press, install upgraded bushings into the arms. So now he has big tires and a semi-functional lift and apparently this will help him with the girls, so he thinks.

Removed:

Rubicon OEM poseur rocker panels
Rough Country lift
Alarm system (parasite)
Bushwacker (sp??) flares
T case drop
Nerf bar (it was full of rust and stunk like a sewer)
Strange electronic device on the intake temp sensor
Cute plastic light covers and all manner of 3M stick on plastic panels and decorative junk
Unknown function black box in the speaker/stereo wiring
Massive front and rear bumpers that weight hundreds of pounds and had only two bolts (each) holding them on, despite being a winch bumper on the front and a receiver bumper on the rear

Lift removed and replaced with Currie and TF items:

I feel ya. The only reason I ask is because I am fairly new to jeep life and am trying not to fu*k away my jeep. So Im looking at a 2.5" spacer lift with 33s. I don't intent to be that hardcore into wheeling so Im trying not to dump too much money into things that I will rarely need the utility of while at the same time not be grouped into the poseur category lol. So right now Im looking at the procomp packages off of quadratic.com. Should I check fire? Or is this a good place to start?

I understand, just do not do anything you cannot undo when it comes time to do it right(er). Otherwise you will not like yourself much.

Also research and resist the urge to go cheap, save and do it right, do it once. I lift my LJ twice and wasted a lot of money.
