Ok mods- i know this probably isn't the correct place for this so you can move it if you want...
I was just curious why people black out their license plates in pics.....Not trying to start an argument, but why would that matter? I can drive down the street and see your license plate, but you take a picture and don't show it? I guess I just don't understand the reasoning for that. Theres no real "security" reason for doing it.
There are a multitude of good, safe, common-sense reasons.. including those listed above.
Alot can be done, found out, or negatively initiated with a plate # & vehicle description.
This [forum] arena - (despite our brotherhood) is more likely for something like this, sadly.. to happen.
Emotions run high here bro - haven't you noticed?
Those of us that do it, are just being proactive - sort of like throwin the rain-fly in the pack when campin'
I did do it when I first joined, but I gave up quick because it took so long to edit each photo. I figure if some whack job wants to come find me and my Jeep, I'll grab the machete and hand axe out back and make him fight for it haha.

sorry, i couldnt resist. but to add to the topic, i've never done it. i know some people say its to protect themselves, but i dont see that really causing an issue. i'm not about to edit every picture of my jeep to black out/blur the license plate just because of paranoia.
I took my plates off... I moved to GA and wont even bother to tag it here... I got me a DD and so does my wife. Why pay money for a w/e ride? With that said, some guys at work mentioned RV insurance. Does anything like this exsist? Just to protect me if i roll it with a passenger on board...
