Take a heat gun to it...they are on with really aggressive double sided tape. You can also use like 15lb fishing line and saw it back and forth under the trim. Use one of the goo gone products to finish getting the rest of the crap off.

My wife and her XJ the day we brought it home (sorry but my YJ in the Pic has since been sold and parted out )

Then with the 4.5" RE Kit and 32's

And the way it sits today with 6.5" and 35's
(Sorry I don't have a pic of here with it yet)
