This should be everything you need to know for painting wheels.

Me personally. painted them in Va. Beach in the winter @ 29 degrees. ( wouldn't recomend ) but I was home on leave. haha.
I used a nice 80/120 by hand, used some acetone for the dust and made sure all was ok prep for paint. I read somewere on here about using self-etching primer so seal it. So a couple decent not huge coats of that, with some normal primer to give it a little more sanding room. and then allot of little light coats of the Duplicor paint . Its a little thin and runny. ( also, it was winter ) . Ive had them on for over a year with no clear-coat on them at all. Lots of beach trips and trails with friends. They hold up fine with normall washing. Wouldn't suggest a power/pressure washer. I get lots of compliments in traffic on were to find painted canyons .. take your time and go slow. lemmie know if ya have questions!
edit : when I sanded, i didn't intend to go baremetal, just enough to break through road grime and rough up the factory clear on the wheels to give new paint something to stick too. tires off the rims but left valve stems in

Just about every weekend most of my workcenter from my unit goes down to Fiesta Island in San Diego to have a bonfire. I'm always the frontrunner to claim a fire pit, and show off the colors.
