They are Team ATK, and apparently won the Baja 1000 class 3 Back to back 2008 and 2009. ATK seems to be an engine manufacturer based outta TX. Glad i found these pix as i have been wanting to see a Baja TJ as well.
There is an actual jeepspeed website and it also has forums. There is a detailed build thread on that jeep there.

That jeep is sweet. I am also surprised it still has solid axles. The thing I keep thinking about with solid is that it doesn't allow for as much cushionage as the ifs system.

depends. I found out, if you link and angle the front axle the same kinda as you would do the rear, you can make it the same if not softer then a IFS. I would keep a soild axles.

Man, my dream is to build a Brute and run Baja and other races with it. Pretty sweet looking MJs, one of them even looks like it's got Renegade fenders

2wd?!?!?!? That does make me wonder if AWD would be better than 4wd.
