Baby seats

My wife is pregnant and telling me that a baby seat won't fit in my Lj. Does anybody have pics of baby seats in a Lj or Tj?

Buy something and park the lj for a while, if you are attached to the lj DO NOT SELL IT, buy a four door family car and park the lj

It fits okay, my 2 1/2 year old's feet are usually on our seats though. There is not alot of legroom for him, but he loves going for a ride in the jeep. His Graco carseat is on the bigger side though, we have a radian seat in our truck and it sits back further. Find the right carseat and it will work just fine.

You will probably have trouble with a rear facing seat. My 99 didn't have room unless I didn't have a passenger and could slide the seat all the way forward.

^I agree, I doubt you'll get a rear facing infant seat in there.
Once the young'un graduates to a forward facing seat, you should be OK.

I had all 3 kids in my CJ throughout their younger years. My oldest with a booster, next to oldest in a car seat, and my youngest in a baby seat that belted down to the console between the two front seats.

I am in the same boat. 1st kid is due in November. Our plan is for the main vechicle to be my wife's JKU Rubicon while the kid is rear facing. Once we can spin her around, I will drive my LJ with her in it. My wife has a home office and I will be in charge of taking the kid to daycare on my way to work so I'll be driving her's for awhile.

TJ's have more rear passenger room them yj's and cj's. I have a forward facing seat for my 3year old and a infant rear facing for my 9 month old in the back of my YJ.

I'm trying to convince my wife this is the way to go. She doesn't see the need for me to have 2 jeeps, the Lj and Cj2A as toys, and get a new car also. I'm slowly swaying her that we'll both regret me selling the LJ. I've taken her truck shopping with me as I have suggested it would be nice to be able to tow the jeeps to go play.
