Title is pretty self explanatory. Thinkin about getting one for my '99 TJ, but wanted to see some pics befor the purchase. I am lookin at getting one w/o the tire carrier. Also what do you think of the product? Thanks for the help...

I've got the one with the tire carrier but the bumper is the same.

I don't think you can beat LoD for the price. After 3 years, I'm still happy with the bumper; still rattle free with a 35" spare.

When you're ready for a front bumper, I really like this:

You will be hard pressed to find a bumper for a TJ that is tow rated, nobody wants to say you can tow because it presents liability issues. But I figure if you have a weld-through hitch receiver and some frame tie-ins, I think it should pull the 2k pound limit of the TJ no problem. Someone else want to confirm this?

We use our crew cab for towing but I can tell you that this bumper does indeed have a through bumper receiver that has gussets on the back with hidden tow chain attachment points. Like said above, I wouldn't hesitate to tow up to the TJ 2K# limit.

i made my own bumper, similar to this one. It has a through bumper receiver and reinforced it by making some brackets that bolt the bumper to the frame.

I can tow 1500pds confidently.

Just the bumper.

Didn't have a good powdercoat finish, could still see tool (grinder) marks, it was full of rusty water, and the packing foam was melted/burned into the powdercoat finish. But for the $ I'm actually quite ok with it. I do wish the mounting points in the crossmember were lined up with the stock holes so I could add readily available frame tie-ins too.

Tows just fine too.

I really like that front. Once I get the back put on I think I know my next bumper purchase. Is that also from LoD?
