Damn

I miss this bugger a whole lot... Always wanted to get back into a WRX wagon... bug eye this time. The 05-06 STIs are calling me as well though...

Oddly enough this is the only photo of them together.

I really need to get more, especially recent, photos of her. The most recent one is the one next to the TJ and that's about 2 months ago. I got her back in September to take the DD duties from the TJ. On an average week I might put 2-500 miles on her so the mileage savings are awesome, despite the "crappy" mpg that WRXs get.

Onto the current build/mod list.

2006 Limited Wagon

Thus far I've done....

Gimmick Catback
Cobb Catted DP
Perrin Catless UP
Gimmick 4 ply inlet
Heat blanket on the turbo (TD04)
2006 GD STi TMIC
Mishimoto Aluminum Rad.
Gates TCKWP328RB timing belt kit & water pump
Cobb AP & Custom EQ tune.
17" Sparco/OZ Assetto Garas and Federal 595s & Bridgestone Blizzak LM60s on the stock wheels.
SPT STi Wagon Spec Springs
New Spec Stage 3+ goes in on New Years Eve

Soon to come will be DBA 4000XS rotors
Hawk pads
Stainless lines
Master Cylinder Brace
SPT CAI
Bilstein B16 - PSS9/PSS10 Coilovers
Cobb short shift
& New, more rigid transmission and motor mounts

The whole idea/goal is to keep with the stock engine dynamics (TD04 Turbo & TMIC) to keep turbo lag at a minimum, while creating STi numbers and performance. When I had the tune done at EQ she made 276wh @ 15psi. I was more than happy with that as it's rare to get the TD04 beyond 260. I suspect with the CAI I'll be close to 280 given the right conditions. I don't want to push her much beyond that for a few reasons.

1. FMIC is stupid unless you're making 500hp+ as the huge lag negates any cooling gains, and a proper TMIC will cool just as well in most real world situations.
2. she's a DD for work, and otherwise spends her days toting the girl and I around the bay area, or on somewhat elongated road trips.

Anyhow, that's that for now. I'll have to remind myself to get more up to date photos of her, though admittedly, the Jeep is my favorite wrenching/playing/photo toy lol

My subie. Sorry don't have any with it next to the jeep. Lowered, exhaust, intake, and access port. The usual stuff.

I have a two-door 2000 2.5RS as my DD! Love the car, i have a STi block im trying to build so i can drop a turbo into it soon...but i keep spending money on the Jeep. What a surprise. It's really odd, i have a built Wrangler and a DD Subie, and my brother on the other hand has a built Subie and a lifted Wrangler for a DD. Ill try to post some pics later.
Jeeps and Subie's all day!
