if i decide to go with the 17" jk rims to replace my 17" overland rims and keep the oem tires will i have to get an alignment? because of backspacing or offset differences.

I know bumping an old thread but any rubbing with your 3" lift? I'm buying a heavy duty OME spring 3" lift and checking if I need more.

Lol bumpingan old thread for sure! but im thinking about going with some stock JK steelies like this for sure. thinking about bed lining them though, has anyone do it? I dont want to plasti dip them becuase after a while they start to look crapy. And peeling it off ins't as easy as you think lol. he is mine with with the current silver blades.

But my question is for those running the jk steelies, do you like them? are they lighter than the EOM silverblades? any advice would be great.
Thanks

Since I changed to slightly larger tires at the same time as my wheels (from Timberlines to JK steel) I did gain a couple pounds per wheel. That said, I think that the steels and Timberlines weigh about the same. I like the steels because they stick out maybe a quarter to half inch further than the stock wheels. I measured the offset.

I sanded/prepped them for paint, did several coats of black, and several coats of clear. I've taken them off road quite a bit, through cinders/snow/mud and there's not a scratch on them. If you do it right, that paint is tough.

...and they're CHEAP!!
