Here's a few more its really amazing what you can do with this stuff my favorite one of my amature ability is the rat rod one in the above post. Any tips are helpful!

As "they" say, "...beauty is in the eye of the beholder," but use restraint.

The typical first response to using Photomatix, and I did it too with first photos, is to simply run up the sliders. Now if that is the look you are going for, fine, but all those oversaturated greens and reds turn a lot of folks off.

Rock Monster's grunge look is great for the old pickup and roadster, but I caution that is not the approach for everyone and everything. Mr. Gabe's photo captures the sky, giving it some character, without altering the subject's colors.

Gotta say that I agree, given the recent selection the only thing close to the definition of HDR as I understand it is MrGabe's shot. The rest remind me of hookers putting makeup on - way too much!
