This thread should be titled "Shadow/Highlight tool overuse" or "Tone Mapping Gone Wrong".

The SRT4 shot is very close to being properly exposed in a single shot. HDR is not really a tool for that shot. You could use a RAW file and 'create' an HDR but not really the place for it I don't think.

Took some pictures of the Colorado and my friend's Audi tonight, so here are my second through fifth attempts at HDR... I learned that the more raw images you have, the better it looks. The most I had was five (-2,-1,0,1,2).
