I've said for the last 2 summers that I was going to trek up there and never got around to it.

There is a yearly Scrambler run held there:

http://www.cj-8.com/forum/showthread...-Sand-Dunes-MI

This year it will be at the beginning of August.

Here is a pic from that thread for motivation:

yes, see the names on the sides? we had the jeep named "dino" it was kind of a lame tour. lots of plants and cactus but the driver had brought along some native spiders and snakes that my girls still talk about.

Doubt my XJ would go over well. I have some friends in the area that invite me to go with them every summer.

About a year...year and a half ago a bunch of Scramblers and a few CJ-7's in southern Az were auctioned off. They were part of an old tour company. This might be a pic of them.
Everyone thought they would pick one up for a song, but they all brought some decent money, no deals to be had.

1978 Jeep Wagoneer Linited edition

Quite an interesting yard find.
Thought it would be appropriate to post here.
The paint has suffered badly but the metal and chrome work is in amazing condition given its age.

Does anyone know anything about this model?
Debating restoration.
More pics here.
