Spotted next to a house at county Road 3953 and Highway 14 near Pine Mills, Texas. I couldn't get any closer because there was a dog out front who looked friendly but I wasn't taking any chances.
I can't say 100% for sure if this one is truly abandoned but it's always in the same place when I drive by there every 2 or 3 years.
The seats look OK from 30 yards. The tires look aired up OK. It looks to have an oil change container in front of the rear axle. Frame looks OK from a distance which would be about right for a Texas CJ.

Ive seen frame rails that have rusted away like that before. Once had to tow a Nissan Pathfinder that was from NY. Got it onto the rollback OK, and went chain down the rear, only to realize that the driver side rear frame rail was mostly gone and the bumper was just barely hanging on the passenger side.
The rocker panels looked worse than that Cherokee.

I recently bought an 06' wrangler unlimited rubicon. I'm selling my scrambler to fund the build. This sale will go quick! So hurry before I change my mind. It's an 82. Brown on brown. Half hard top. Hard doors. Iron duke 4 cyl that ran when parked 10 years ago, but not very well. Stuck lifter. For those that don't know that was a gm bell housing pattern. Making a v8 swap a breeze. 5 matching Alcoa wheels and 31" mud tires w full tread. 4 speed trans. Dana 300. It does have rust. Can't get too detailed. Haven't even opened the doors in 10 years. But has sat inside the entire time. Like I said come and get it before I realize I'm stupid for parting with such a rare vehicle. I have no pics. Jeep is parked in dark barn surrounded by several other jeeps."
