Floor pans for a DJ5 was the same as a pre 76 CJ5. I would say a CJ5 frame that is 75 or older would work fine. In 76 they widened the rear of the CJ5 frame so it was no longer straight.

Depending on your fab skills, JP had drawings for a one off pre 76 CJ5 frame they posted. I've also got some FSM drawings with measurements of 72- 75 frames.

In 72, AMC lengthened the frame in front of the firewall to allow the use of AMC I6 motors.

How did I know you would be the first one to reply to this Jeepster posting...LOL!?!

Here is the best part...for sale - CHECK!

Seems the CL ad has been deleted though. I saw it yesterday and IIIRC, the asking price was $1,500.

Here is where I originally saw it posted:

like a moth to a flame, or perhaps a serial killer to a copy of 'catcher in the rye'...Commando's are just my version. I think the government posts them and then keeps track of me by them ! I just HAVE to chime in!

$1500? not a bad price at all- my guess is that its already sold. I got slightly more than that for mine, but my guess is if they had simply cleaned that one up and got it running, they could've easily doubled that asking price. someone got a steal of a deal!

There is a jeepster like that down here by my house that runs and drives but I always see it in the same place but in a different position.
