60's or 70's military Jeep information please, what is this? pictures inside

A guy at my shop passed away a couple weeks ago, and his Jeep has been parked outside, people are trying to steal it, we spoke with his sister today and she said she wanted to sell it for $2k, which almost makes me sick because this shouldn't sell for that low. I said I would help her find a price on it and the year of it for her, which is why I'm posting this question. My friends dad was in the military about 30 years ago, so I'll show him the pictures and ask him too. Does anyone know the year of this Jeep and about how much I should tell his sister to ask for it?

That's a Korean war vintage M38. I was gonna tell you I'd gladly pay 2K for it, till I saw where you are at. Shipping to the mainland would probably be a *****.

go to G503.com. Someone there can help you with all your questions....including worth and possible buyers. This site is dedicated to buying, selling, and restoring military vehicles.
