I want to see what you have. Looking for ideas. My goal is to run 35s w/ 2" suspension and 1" body, tube fenders, limit the up travel, cut the rear a bit.
the xj is my other baby a 89 6.5 inch lift Rubicon express arms on 36'' irocks 8.8 rear spartan lockers front and rear i plated the frame and built the custom
front bumper on it.....
His Jeep has a 1" body lift everywhere but at the grill body mount. It makes the hood slope down toward the front of the Jeep. Its something subtle, different, and kindof cool.
Hey guys fellow lcog jeeper 2002 tj here whats the concensis on short arms for lcog jeeps. Im 2 inch rusty spring and shock, 1 1/4 body, ucf tummy tuck and engine skid etc etc on 35s. Looking to upgrade to a cost effective flexy short arms.
Please explain. Aftermarket and control arm noob here. I do understand that Johnny joints or duraflexs would help and prevent binding etc etc. But as far as what's a good set up I'm clueless. So what's a good bolt in long arm kit with jjs or something similar on each end. In have no desire to weld new brackets etc. I want a fully bolt in arm kit. My jeep is my daily so I only wish to improve not go all out. Ty guys.
Yeah, sorry. All I know about control arms is that people that want loads of travel do long arms instead of short arms. Or 3-link setups that delete one arm.
Well this is my newest project, just finished up the color matched Defenders. The lift was mostly on this Jeep and I am not sure what the springs are...I am thinking they are 3". I did have to add a small 1" BL for some clearance reasons.
I have said this the last two builds, but this time I am trying to mean business and would like to slam this one down on some 1.5" H&R's for my next mod.. These are 35's. It currently sits too high for my liking..
Here was the CJ grilled project - It had 2.5" RC and a 1" BL with 35 KM2's - but those of course measure small, so this is what makes me thinks the green one has 3" springs as they sit about the same. Both have 3/4" cut out of the rear flares.
Holy crap I'm not even the biggest YJ fan but those two rigs are absolutely gorgeous
