32" tire vs 31" tire

Does anyone have pictures of these 2 sizes next to each other ?? either on rims or not....I am currently running 32" bighorns but they wore faster than i would have liked.

32" is not common with all tires and I'm wondering if the size difference is really that noticeable. more tires are avail in 31" and they would be slightly cheaper. the reason i'm running 32s as opposed to 33s is because i only have a 2" lift....

any pictures would be great, thanks !!!

BTW, there is a very noticeable loss in performance going from 31s to 32s. Much more noticeable than going from OEM 30s to 31s.

Tell me what you mean by performance loss. I'm considering 31 vs. 32 on my LJ. What did you notice?

hey alecmcmahon, did you notice a major difference in power with the 2.5L and stock gearing when you moved up to the 32s? I was thinking about doing the same thing, but i didn't know if it was a huge difference

[you'll see the difference ]

i've actually just mounted them today, so i couldnt tell you how my highway driving is, im sure i'll have a little more powerloss over my 31x10.50.

but driving them today i didnt notice much difference, except a little diffrent feel in the steering ( probably because of the extra inch with the 11.50)

The biggest problem with the 2.5L engine and my old 31's were most def. going up hills on the hwy. though - it's never stopped me from keeping up, just down shift for a bit and your fine....

Here is the "All Jeeps on 32's" thread... Lots of nice Jeeps!

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f59/all-jeeps-32s-313163/

Personally for just a 2" lift, I would go with 32's over 31's.
