235/85r16

I'm looking to get tires for 16" Moabs in about a 31-32" diameter. This size is available in most of the popular tire brands at about $20 less a tire than the 265/75R16 size. According to my calculatons the 235/85's should be about 32/9.50. I've always liked the tall skinny look but want to see if anybody runs these on a Jeep. If you do, could you please comment on what load rating yours have and how they ride on road, off road, and what pressures you run..
Thanks

first lol. hankook dynapro mt rt03's in the 235/85/16 size. not sure on the load rating but they are 10 ply and are amazing offroad and in the mud and are quiet on the road and feel great and ride smooth for the most part. they are a 10 ply so they are gonna ride rougher than other tires but they are like a cloud compared to my old 265/75/16s that were so bald they couldnt be rebalanced and were just horrible lol. got these kinda unexpectedly, planned on same tire in a 265/75/16 but none of the tire shops in manhattan had them in stock in that size and i couldnt wait to get tires cuz mine were so bad i couldnt drive the jeep. absolutely love them and would definitely recommend them. sorry for the novel lol

Novel all you want! I'm just excited to get a response. Do you know how wide your wheels are? All the manufactures reccomend a wheel thats 7" max. My Moabs are 8". I'm worried that I would have bead issues if I air down enough to get those hard E rated sidewalls to bulge. What PSI do you run in yours?

Awesome looking zj by the way!

the wheels are 16x7 or 16x8 i think. i wish i had moabs.... lol. and as for PSI i run whatever the tire shop filled them to. so i'm guessing factory specs. i never air down so i couldnt tell ya if they stay on. and thanks man! the zj has come a LONG way in the past few months

Most tires in that size are gonna be load range D or E. If the stiff ride doesn't bother you they should work good.
That's the stock tire size on my F250

ha they feel great to me. but of course i had tires that should have been illegal for me to be driving on they were so bad lol. i eventually plan on getting moabs as well or another style rim with around 3.75 backspacing but for now these tires on my stockers work well
