Wheeling day after Christmas

My wife and I went wheeling with some friends on the 26th. We went up to Bald Mountain. This area is North East of Fresno. Swamp trail, and Ducy are close by.
There was snow in the area, and in some places, close to a foot deep.
We had a good afternoon playing in the white stuff.
We ran into a guy with a sweet jeep and he was trying to get closer to the Bald Mountain lookout. The creek there had water in it, and was pretty tough.
Some guys in Toyotas had gotten stuck in it before he attempted it, and had tore it up pretty good.
This guy in his jeep got sideways in it, and ended up blowing a bead off, and ended up in getting stuck there trying to back out. We winched him out to a position so he could change his tire. He was able to get out the rest of the way by himself.
Here are some pics of our afternoon in the snow.

I think we are going back this coming friday. There should be more snow to play in. One of the guys I was with, has a friend that wants to go up, and my parents will be in town, and we are going to take them up also.

Nice, good to see you boys getting out! Is that down by the Dusy Isham trail? Our club The Hills Angles are planning a fun run on the Dusy this summer? Should be a good time.

yes, we where not that far from the ducy trail head.

We plan on doing ducy and swamp this next summer.
When they open depends on how much snow we get over the winter. This past year, they opened late because of all the snow last winter.
