Colorado is one of the most amazing places in the world and im am lucky to live so close to these trails. If an one is taking a trip to those mountains I would suggest taking a day doing the alpine loop. Also if any one wants pictures of these trails i would be glad to post them.

Beautiful. I WILL make it to CO some day....

Any idea how cold the water was in the lake on Ophir Pass? Looks like a great place for a swim.

I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it "the terminator". First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked terminator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

Living in ND I would recommend the CO option if your wanting to do some 4 wheeling. The ND Badlands are nice, but unless you know someone out there you won' find any place to wheel. The Black Hills of SD are good for wheelin though. But if wheelin is your primary intent, I would recommend picking up one of the Charles A Wells books and look to Colorado or Utah.

Looking at these pictures, it was "deje vu". Maybe because I live here?!? LOL We have done Cinnamon, Engineer, Black Bear and Imogene this year. We do the Cin/Eng every year, sometimes twice a year. It NEVER gets old. Great pictures and a great trip.

gosh I think about 6-700 bucks in gas. I can't find where I wrote it down, but I think it was somewhere around there.
