Trip Report: Sour Grass May 29, 2011

Went on a trip with some bay area guys last weekend. Sour Grass trail starts at the Sour Grass day use area near Dorrington, CA. It's in gold country off hwy 4. We started in Arnold and took a forest service road to Dorrington. Then we hit Sour Grass. It was raining off and on all day. We drove to the end of the trail and had some lunch. Then we drove back to the parking lot and my buddy and I had to head back to San Jose. Overall, this was a pretty easy trail, but it was harder due to the rain. We were also worried about getting across the water crossing. There has been a lot of snow this season, and if it gets warm enough, the water crossing will swell with runoff and become unpassable. Here's some pics of the run, along with some videos.
