RSG March 2010 - carnage pics

A couple of us from Ocean State Jeepsters ran a trail in Western MA with New England Jeepz today. Lots of carnage. Of the 16 rigs on the trail I think only one escaped without any damage. I grenaded a front axle shaft which then took out the ball joints, caved in the rear passenger door, peeled the drivers side front fender, cleaned out marker lamps and header panel, and cracked the windshield. My friend Bill snapped his rear driveshaft and cracked his windshield. I still can't believe we were able to pound the ball joints back in an get out of the woods in 3WD.

Everything started out innocently enough:

Oops, whats wrong with this picture:

Not good:

Bill's driveshaft:

Ran into a wall of sand trying to get out in 2WD:

Awesome vidoes!

What are you impressions of New England Jeepz? I am considering applying to the club.

The U.S. Army vaguely envisioned something bigger than a motorcycle, smaller than a truck, and undaunted by the most difficult terrain.

Great bunch of people. But then again thats true of basically all the clubs in the area. Lots of people are members of multiple clubs; gives you more options. . .

Register for the forum and submit an application to gain candidate status. You will then get notified of club events. Show up, meet some of the crew, and decide if the club will work for you. Hope to see you on the trail.
