Today is the 25th of April and I just got back from an amazing day at Rausch. It was 80 and sunny all day, so the top was down and doors were off for wheeling the whole time . Left around 6 this morning with two friends, Brian, and Chris (tjaddiction). Got there around 730-8, aired down, disconnected and got our stuff together while we waited for Jason Riggs, and Aaron (?), from the Baltimore 4 Wheelers. Must have been 150 rigs up there when we arrived, everything from stockers to tube buggy's.
We were on the trails around 9:00 with our group of five rigs. We ran mostly blues and blacks all day and while i'm not 100% sure what trails we ran, I do know we ran:
Trail 4 (Yellow Jacket)
Crawler Ridge (I think?)
Trail 13 (crossed rock creek)
...And a bunch more that I don't know. We covered around 10 miles of trails.
Nobody broke anything, but our skids got put to use, and Chris got a nice old bolt in his tire within the first 5 minutes on the trail. Quick patch and we were on our way.
My sliders finally got put to use, and may have stopped me from flopping.

This "Jeep thing" is like dating a really really hot chick, who is crazy! Its alot of fun, you spend too much money, your up all night ending up sweaty & greasy from it, your friends are jealous, you get admission into some sort of weird club... but it gets mad at your for no reason, throws fits seemingly randomly, has unexplained issues which it somehow solves on its own only after you try a bunch of different things (and spend a bunch of money) to solve it... and yet you can't resist getting in it every chance you can.

If I didn't have to some maintenance issues to take care of first, such as front axle u-joints, rebuild front ds and replace rear pinion yoke. I'm trying to get that all done before I go out playing in May, that and the boss only allows (1) big travel trip a month, since RC is about 5hrs away. Supposedly in June there's a big meet n greet there that I'm planning on making.
