Rausch Creek 4/25

Today is the 25th of April and I just got back from an amazing day at Rausch. It was 80 and sunny all day, so the top was down and doors were off for wheeling the whole time . Left around 6 this morning with two friends, Brian, and Chris (tjaddiction). Got there around 730-8, aired down, disconnected and got our stuff together while we waited for Jason Riggs, and Aaron (?), from the Baltimore 4 Wheelers. Must have been 150 rigs up there when we arrived, everything from stockers to tube buggy's.

We were on the trails around 9:00 with our group of five rigs. We ran mostly blues and blacks all day and while i'm not 100% sure what trails we ran, I do know we ran:
Trail 4 (Yellow Jacket)
Crawler Ridge (I think?)
Trail 13 (crossed rock creek)
Trail 12
...And a bunch more that I don't know. We covered around 10 miles of trails.

Nobody broke anything, but our skids got put to use, and Chris got a nice old bolt in his tire within the first 5 minutes on the trail. Quick patch and we were on our way.

My sliders finally got put to use, and may have stopped me from flopping.

I got high centered on a ledge, only time anyone got stuck all day really

Crossing rock creek:

Some father son spotting action

Than onto Trail 4, Yellow Jacket. YJR is a personal favorite (my rear bumper seems to like it also
)

As stuffed as I could get, my front driver's tire wasn't touching

Yellow Jacket was the last real trail we ran. We headed back to the registration area around 3:30, 4.

Jason and his brother packed up and headed out, while the rest of us played on the comp. course.

Than we packed up, aired up, connected and headed out

All in all, it was a great day. Perfect weather and everything went great. Other than the tire puncture and my alignment getting messed up, there was no breakage or serious damage.

...Now i'm gonna go put lotion on my sunburn

If I didn't have to some maintenance issues to take care of first, such as front axle u-joints, rebuild front ds and replace rear pinion yoke. I'm trying to get that all done before I go out playing in May, that and the boss only allows (1) big travel trip a month, since RC is about 5hrs away. Supposedly in June there's a big meet n greet there that I'm planning on making.

Morgan, if your talking about the bright red/orange jeep in the center to the right, than it's not a cherokee buggy. It was CJ
