No problem here viewing all the photos via the posted links.

very nice photos and work on the editing. How much time do you spend editing each picture, on average?

This last trip was great. I love Evans Creek so much, its not too easy just hard enough to keep you on your toes. I had a blast here through the mud, You can even see the new dent in my passenger side rocker, time for tube fenders and rocker guards.

However it was not as fun on the way home for the 1 hr. drive. I had alot of caked up mud in my raidiator and low coolant. Once I got on the freeway my temp started rising past 210 degrees. I stopped at a gas station and bought more coolant. But there was still not enough air gettin through the front. 10 miles from home I peaked out 260 degrees. It was not good it felt like I had the floor heaters on full past but I didn't. To help while on the road I turned the vent heaters on though. I just changed my oil before the trip but to be safe I think I might change it this weekend because of all of the excessive heat. Lesson learned, when playing through mud create a nice bow wave that does not flow up over the hood.

Next time as complete challenge I want to try and run every trail up hill. I am pretty sure in the last two trips we hit every trail either uphill or downhill. This winter will make it harder with all the rain, mud and some snow.

I'm glad I did not have to winch, I was determined to find a working line.

Heh heh, it's a fun place who's character definitely changes with the seasons. In the summer when it dries out the trails are definitely easier to run. And the beautiful views of Mt. Rainier are usually guaranteed at the overlooks. During fall and spring the trails are usually soaking wet with sloppy mud all over the place. Fog and mist often cloaks the mountain slopes lending a mysterious, creepy aire to the park. The wetness and strong rains make the up-hill direction a bit more interesting. And during winter the place is covered in 2-4 ft of snow! I just can't imagine running Evan's Creek with that much snow on the ground. I'll wait for the fluffy white stuff to clear off the trails. Other wise you have guaranteed body damage.

Hey Micah! Try running a water hose through the back-side of your radiator to help clean it out. Hosing it off from the front can jam debris in there more.

And Gtex, I spend anywhere from 2-3 minutes if for simple color and lighting correction to 15-20 minutes for more complicated work. The last picture (the tall vertical one) took me maybe 30-35 min or longer since I had to figure out how to select all the white sky and then finding a good balance. Still not entire pleased with it but the image is certainly more legible and clear than the original.

Does the fan shroud just pop off so you can spray from the back? Other wise there is not other way to get to it?

The fan shroud is open facing the engine. . . not sure what the confusion is? . . .

I have a morning ritual that I need to share. I call it "the terminator". First I crouch down in the shower in the classic "naked terminator traveling through time" pose. With my eyes closed I crouch there for a minute, visualizing either Arnold or the guy from the second movie (not the chick in the third one because that one sucked) and I start to hum the terminator theme. Then I slowly rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me to proceed through my day as an emotionless, cyborg badass. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It ruins the fantasy.

On my 4 cylinder the fan shroud cover goes from the raidiator all the way to the front part of th engine and then along the sides. So the whole back part of the raidiator (engine side) is not exposed.

Yeah, I think the shoud is extended to reach the front of the shorter 4 cyl. block on Micah's rig. Probably need to pop the shroud off, then, to get a good cleaning done on the radiator.

I've been through enough puddles that it's probably time for me to do the same.

Ooooh... 8-7. When did you send me that email? I think I went on the 30th by accident. I must have read it a little too fast and missed the date; figuring you meant that weekend. I was wondering why no one was at the Chevron.

It was hot and dusty that weekend. Some guy in a big Chevy Scottsdale tried going up 311 from the staging area and while airing down I could see he was having problems. LOTS and LOTS of noise from the engine but the tires were barely turning. I could see some magic smoke was escaping from his transmission. I was hoping he'd give up but nooo... had to get up to that second rock a few hundred feet up the trail and die. So his buddy in a Samurai and some other Guy in a Scout hooked up to either end and had to surgically tug, realign, tug, realign, etc. his big *** backwards out of there back to the staging area.

Yeah it was great, we hit quite a few trails. Too bad your were not there. It seemed alot easier this time. I gues I am just learning what lines to pick. I cant wait till it is rainy and muddy there this fall and winter.
