Evan's Creek Snow Run
January 8th, 2006

More photos on my website

This Sunday a bunch of us from Jeepforum got together for a "snow run" at Evan's Creek, 50 minutes southeast of Seattle. Over the last few weeks the snow level had receeded which left the trails muddy and slick but otherwise free of snow. However, enough of a dusting remained to give a majestic quiet backdrop for the day's wheel'n.

On this run were a Grand Cherokee, two Rubicons (one built, one stock), two TJs, a CJ-5 and a CJ-3B. Everyone had fun even though there was some minor damage. The most significant was a tie between the red TJ and the Grand Cherokee. The Cheokee had it's front bumper torn off, a door handle pushed in, and lost a rear sping when it fell out. The red TJ bent a tie rock and needed to sacrifice its brand new high-lift jack handle as a sleeve. I'd tip the carnage contest to the Grand Cherokee as it was the wife's daily driver . . . and the wife was riding shot gun during the day!

Oh, and both CJs tipped over on their sides.

Hey sorry my friend and I didn't run with you all but it looked like you had alot of rigs and we didnt want to clog up the trails. But eventhough we didnt run with you we want to thank you all for getting us out and jeeping for the day. We also have our picturs posted up on www.******************.com if anyone wants to check them out. I have not been on this forum long enough to post picturs up here.

Thanks again

Just wanted to say that I had a good time on Sunday (the wife not so much ). I think for the next jeep run I'll take our XJ . I also wanted to thank everyone for the help out on the trail, from picking up my bumper, to finding my coil that fell out from all that flex Oh and the the jeep should be all fixed up by this weekend, good thing I am a painter
