Lake Elsinore, CA with Andrew 9.4.2011
The temperature around here was generally in the low 100°'s. Being from Seattle this was a big change...that said, the wheeling in these parts ain't nothing like it is at home, either. No trees, no mud, no tree roots and/or stumps...
I'd been working for a while now, and I needed a break from the curmudgeonly old goat that employed me!
The landscape is quite odd, to me...like something out of the westerns I watched as a kid.
Andrew was in his element, and posed for the camera every chance he got. I obliged him...
"Sitting on Top of the World" Was that originally a Willy Dixon tune? I've forgotten, though I know Cream did, much later.
At the bottom, Andrew climbs it this time as I watch...and photograph.
He'd done all these little obstacles dozens of times, and was pretty good at them. 35's & locked all around he did just fine.
There were a few tight spots...
A few steep spots...
But he managed all of them without incident.
Andrew almost flopped here. It was pretty close but somehow he pulled it off without a flop.
That was pretty much it. Arrived at or around 9:00 am, and on the road home well before noon. It gets really hot after noon, so I was ready to seek the comfort of some shade.
Thanks Andrew, and thanks to MrBlaine for giving me a few hours off.
