Change the red paint to lt. Khaki and I'd swear I'm looking out my windshield!

Awesome photo expedition. Pretty much my dream vacation. I haven't been there in 25 years. Time to go back! But I'll be trading the Doxies for a Rat Terrier and a 6 year old human LOL!

^Yes, the Alpine Plateau was really cool and I want to camp up there in the future.

Well... I'm starting to think about next year's trip! Turns out that my wife has a family reunion in Denver next August. How convenient is that?!

Great pic's. Some of the many trails I have to hit the next time we're out in Colorado..

do you by any chance have it in map form? I'd love to go on a trip like that.

^This is basically the route I took from Denver with ending up in the Ridgway/Ouray area. There are a lot of other trails around the Ridgway/Ouray, and of course Colorado. Worth the drive!

This is one of the places I'm planning on going next August:

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing.

My sister has a friend that moved out there and has been bugging her to come out and visit. Well I jumped at the chance to go with her. Always wanted to take my jeep out there for some great pictures. We're planning on going the first two weeks in Aug. I can't wait. They live around the Denver area so I'm trying to figure out some fun trails to go thru to get some good pics without having to worry about breaking something. Just to far from home.

My parents have a vacation home near south fork,co. I often leave from there and head to lake city, then over to animas fork and figure which way to go to sleep and continue from there. Never have plans so if we end up camping, even better. Plan on 2nd week of aug this year. Good times.
