IndyORV March 14th Badlands

Great day today and went very smoothly...had 22+ rigs show up more like 25 with the wanderers mixing in...split into 4 groups and hit the trails which were all in great shape....even after all the rain the Badlands still drys up and delivers ...all groups were able to run all major trails and cover the vast majority of the park...with most saying they covered more terrain then they ever had there before....no major issues or carnage... Slight flop by trailreadyyj ( which Ryan rocklovintj was driving....figures ? )...but very minor problems besides...very impressed with most all of the noobs most doing incredibly well and showing no fear and attacking with veteran abandon...overall another great ride for all and looking forward to the next. Hope everyone had a good time...cya at the next run...Shaggy.

I can't wait to see the ones of me with my tail in the air. But here are some I took of the weekend, a couple of mine.

Some people can spend 6 months building a rig and STILL not be prepared for the trail.

Couple flex shots of mine.

Some of the first group of guys I rode with. You all were super helpful, and really made the trails seem easy

At the Quarry for lunch.

One of the climbs

The pumpkinators second go

He made it up so easy he decided to do it again...this time it almost ended bad.

But he did end up making it up without tipping!

Those are the only pics I had of the weekend. I think the rain actually made it more enjoyable for me, I've never been when its "dry" but if it was any dryer than that I don't think it would've been as much fun.

Overall I had a great time, It was my first time, and besides breaking my CB antenna mount, and a tiny dent in the tub from my stock side steps, I think I came out ok! Can't wait to wheel with you guys again.

Twisteddrum, at least you didn't get a pic of HOW I fixed the rear bumps. Lol

You did a great job out there. You didn't let a little damage get you all butthurt, and you were a cool dude to be around. Even if you do look like Nicolas Cage. Lol I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

I had a blast wheeling with everyone, seeing some new faces and getting to see some old ones again as well.

I'm taking another week of vacation starting on the 20th, so I'm game for an impromptu run if anyone is interested.

Also, I've got several videos, I'll get them up tonight after class.

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

Haha yea!

Meh, I figured if I wanted a show vehicle I wouldn't buy a Jeep. Plus nothing a little armor can't hide. LOL, You're not the first to make the reference . I had a lot of fun, glad I got to see your ride in person, love what you've done with it.

I can't wait till the next time I can wheel, it was a blast. Thanks for the help, and spots.

BTW I think you can officially take this, "IMPACT ORANGE '05 TJ... The Pumpkinator (I should rename it the "Nothing for it's intended purpose build")" out of your sig.

I might be able to go, I would like to get the truss on the new rear axle and get the axle in, get the new LCA brackets welded in, and the t-case skid in before I go wheeling again though.

Why take it out? Half the **** on my Jeep isn't used as it was meant to be. I've got Ford parts, JK parts, YJ parts, XJ parts, I think I even have a Chevy part or two. That much custom work definitely requires you to think outside the box.

I didn't have enough notice! I already had my days requested. I'm going to try my best to make it though.

Nice pics Josh. Nice meeting you man. I'll be using a few of my pics in my build thread, FYI.

Having not been able to hook up with the IndyORV guys in awhile, and knowing James was gonna "try out" the Pumpkinator, I made a point of making it down to this run, despite having been to the Badlands just two weeks prior.....and despite we were Springing forward the night before/morning of....whichever.

I need to make a piss stop.

Finally entering Indiana.

I think I was the last to arrive.

There was some pre-run flexing going on:

Stopping on Orange for a little repair....Craigs shift linkage.

On to Orange.

Off of Orange.

Trying a climb...I did it two weeks prior.

None of us made it.

After we removed the TJ from the hill we moved on to Kevin's Trail, on our way to the quarry, for lunch.

Kevin's Trail.

We weren't really in a hurry for lunch.

"LUNCH"

I heard something that didn't sound quite right...

I turned around just in time to see this....

That is a bit too close to going over.

Will he save it?

Yes!

After lunch it was back on Kevin's and off to the creek.
