This trip was a blast. After re-looking at the pics, I'm already wanting to go back and do it again.
When the weather is nice I've spent the weekend there and camped in nearby Green-Sullivan State Forest which also has excellent fishing. An overnighter might work better for those with longer drive time involved.

Good times, good times.
Looks like you made the trip on a pretty wet day and really got to experience the slickness of Redbird clay. Surprisingly though, when things dry out it gives pretty good traction. It's amazing how much effect the recent weather has on that place.
