Imogene Pass & Black Bear Pass

I went down to Telluride last month to check a few trails off the bucket list. I have over 500 pics, but most are too large to upload.

Final assent to the top of Imogene Pass

Overall the trip was amazing and provided the best scenery I have ever seen.

I went past the beginning of Black Bear Pass in the wife's Explorer a few weeks ago, I cried a little.

How'd you like the trip, other than being amazing that is?

You have to post more pics though....it's a rule.

The trip was amazing! The trail itself really wasn't too technical except in a few spots. By far the best scenery I have ever seen.

From Aurora, CO there and back cost me ~$300. Considering it took 6-7 hours each way, a whole day of driving on the trail and the Jeep only gets about 200 miles per tank.

I just got back from there last week. Black Bear is awesome! Beautiful view. I am so jealous of all the free trails in Colorado, I have to pay for everything in Tennessee.

We were down there last week, too, on our vacation and stayed in Ouray for a couple nights. Stunning scenery and incredible trails. . . not so much for the technical areas as for the scale, elevation, and mountains. Just great. We rented a Jeep for the trails and went up to Animas Forks, the ghost mining town, and over Hurricane Pass.
