Fordyce Trail 5/06/07

Our plan was to run the Fordyce Creek Trail to the first river crossing, then turn around and go back. We made it to the crossing in record time and drove 2 miles past before we turned around. The river crossing wasn't too deep, (a little water in the doors) but the rest of the trail was mostly under water or had water running through it. We didn't get many pictures because we were hauling @#$.

This picture is coming down Driveline Hill near the begining of the trail. That is a stock late model Land Cruiser behind me heading for the bypass. When we came up on him, he was teetering on two wheels and having a hard time making forward progress. For those of you who know the area, can you believe he made it that far?

Very little snow as far as we went. There was snow on the mountains above us, and we heard that there was plenty of snow further up the trail. Cisco side (committe trail) is still blocked by a wall of snow.

I tried going in from the top couple weeks ago and there was nothing but snow the entire way. Should be good to go now.
