Where is a good place to stay close. I am going next weekend with the wife for a little get away.

There are some smaller hotels around Grove, Langley, and Disney area (South Grand lake, essentially).

The closest "chain" hotels I would know of are in Vinita (Best Western, Super 8, Holiday Inn Express), which is 20 miles.

More options of course in Tulsa (Catoosa is 50 miles, Claremore is 40) and Joplin (60 miles, but the wrong side of the lake from Edmond).

Im in Elk City, 45miles west of weatherford. Do you know anyone or any clubs over on this side? This side of oklahoma is really hilly or really flat, no rocks at all, just mud....
Here is a club in your area http://www.rnyc4x4.com/index.php

Go to events & trips and you will see a place called Buzzard Canyon
they are having a open wheel this weekend.

It is located between Sayre & Hobart
