The Cliffs "MUD FEST" 10-24-09

Cliffs Insane Terrain

I made another run to the Cliffs Insane Terrain Park on 10-24-09 and it was a complete mud fest after getting over 5" of rainfall that week. It was raining right up until we hit the road and made our way down Saturday morning. The day turned out to be beautiful and nothing can explain the amazing beauty of the fall season and color changes. The trails and terrain brought us some serious challenges (as always), but this time we made it through everything without the need of a winch

This run consisted of just a few of us which included...

Drew and the family - Red rubicon
Warren and the P's - Green TJ sport
Warren's bro - Stock red TJ sport
Myself w/ my excellent spotter Dina - Silver TJ sport

I hope you enjoy this report... thanks for looking!

We started out heading up the hill into the deap trails

We got out to check on Warren and his brother down the hill... lets just say these trails were slick! Drew and I definately tested out our acrobatic skills HAHA

At least Drew didn't drop his cig and I didn't spill my redbull lol!

Drew head down the hill and was kind enough to snap some pics of me on my way down.

By the time we got down the hill, Warren and his bro were already down by the creek.

This next section of the trails got pretty messy.

I decided to try the rock path even though my spotter suggested not to. Well things started out pretty good...

... until this happened

That last rock hung me up and eventually slid me into the trees on the passenger side. Fortunately I didn't hit hard and was able to skillfully get out with some help from the group.

"This big? No, it's this big! Are you sure?? Yeah, it's really this big!" I have no idea what we were talking about LOL

With the guys pushing me from sliding against the trees... and Dina praying (thank you), I finally got up and over that rock!

Back to the trails we go!

Drew's LJ has stock D44 axles. The reason why they look wide is bc he took off his flares and has new wheels with 3.75 back spacing. He's got his flares back on now since he installed his suspension lift.

His rig looked crazy like that and he was throwing rooster tails on the wet roads on the way there LOL.

Glad you guys like the pics

I love wheeling pics in the fall with the sun peeking through the trees lighting up the different colored leaves. It was beautiful out there!

Yeah that's the 2nd time I caught drew falling on his *** LOL! I caught him falling out from his jeep on our 9/26 trip too. We were all falling on our asses on this run!
