Brookwood AL

Last weekend a few buddies and I decided to take a Sunday afternoon trip to Brookwood.

The trails here are pretty tough and the climbs up some of the hills are very scary for your first time out there. There is no chance you are going to accomplish the trail unless you are on at least 35's and locked front and rear.

All in all it was an awesome ride and an awesome place. There are very old train tunnels carved through the mountains that you can ride through as you will see.

Here are the pics:

That looks awesome! I didn't know there was anything like that around either. I would love to check that out if I had the lift and tires for it.

That around Tuscaloosa?

Well, the hill you see the toyota climbing is about 45 to 50 degree angle so its way steeper than it looks. And to get to David's Creek there is a hill of about 150 feet that is about 45 degrees and off camber at the top. The third picture is the beginning of it. the last pic shows the final climb to get out of the trail and I couldn't walk up it without using my hands for balance. The pictures take a lot of the steepness out but thats how it always is.

I could do all of that on 31's, but it looks fun.

Had I gotten better/more pictures of the obstacles and trails you'd be hard pressed to get to the creek without breaking something. Who knows.

Come try it!

That looks awesome! I didn't know there was anything like that around here. Maybe this is why I need a lift and 35's.....

Man.... I thought my top was in some bad shape. Mine's not so bad compared to yours. Sorry, Bro. That sucks. Very nice Jeep though.

Looks nice, but is it all legal to ride?

JimTJ 11-21-2010 05:43 PM

Yeah its legal as far as I have heard. A mining company owns the land and doesn't care if people ride on it.
