Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead Trail Run

So I wheeled from Lake Arrowhead to Big Bear yesterday. The weather and scenery were perfect. We started at 6:45 AM on Dishpan Springs just east of Lake Arrowhead. Dishpan is an awesome trail with some very challenging obstacles, took about 90 minutes and I would definitely do it again. We then went through Holcomb Creek Trail. Holcomb was a long bumpy trail with only a few tough spots. I only got hung up on the very first boulder leading into the "Rock Garden." After getting through there it was fairly easy sailing with only a few obstacles. The creek was extremely low due to the lack of recent rain. We then went through John Bull. This trail is outstanding and reminded me a lot of the Rubicon. It was much shorter at 2.2 miles (the difficult portion), but offered some serious challenges. We then drove out Jacoby Canyon to Highway 18. As I expected with only 2 1/2" of lift and 33" tires on my 04 Rubicon, there was a lot of bumping and scraping the factory skids and my aftermarket rocker guards. I also hit my steering box skid a few times and it did its job well. I hit my new ZJ tie rod at least five times and it was completely unphased. I will definitely visit Dishpan and John Bull again, I'll pass on Holcomb Creek and Jacoby Canyon.

That looks like a great trail. Def would want some skid protection there
