Barnwell Mtn. Gilmer, TX sept 30

Went up to gilmer for the day and had a blast! I had to put my new homefab high clearance gas tank skid to the test and it worked flawlessly.

We were on the last trail for the day, and I ripped the sidewall on my rt rear Kumho. I dont know if the sidewalls on these things arent so tough or if it was a flawed tire bc the rock that did it was pretty dull . Good thing I had a full sized spare! Mines the Silver one and my buddys is the red tj. I was proud of my jeep, this weekend was the first time ive ever taken it on the 4's. Here are the pics.

Semi-flop into a rut. We had to get a strap on the top of his rollbar and i pulled that side as he backed out of it.

I've noticed a lot of people doing that with their Baja claws lately... I'm not totally sure why, maybe they think they get better traction?

Then why are they..backwards? Wouldn't the manufacturer find that out during testing, and make it the right way?

My dad has baja claws on his cherokee. Run them forwards on the street so they

are quiet (relativly) and backwards on the trail and they grab like mad. If you ran

them backwards on the street id imagine that they'd wear and handle horribly.

Thanks for the comments.
