A very nice turn out for this trip. Had loads of fun and met some new folks. Here's a few group pics....I'll get the rest uploaded and post a link later. Been up too long and don't feel like waiting on it :P

And a lil redneck engineering

I hope you don't mind me adding a few pics too. For my little group, the day was filled with carnage. 2 of the 4 jeeps we went there with got busted up prety bad, and one ended up staying the night. Hopefully he can get the thing fixed tomorrow.

Here's my group.

And withing the first half hour:

We had a broken D35 axle shaft. Fun stuff.

A ton of people appeared, and gave their helping hand, but no luck fixing it.

Then my friend jake tried the rock and ended up busting both front steering u-joints, and ripping the yoke's apart.

I made it up without problems.

So our day pretty much revolved around driving back and fourth to try to get parts, and just messing around in the rock quarry.

Here's the link to some more of my pics. I still have a lot more, just got to sort through them and get the best ones. Anyone else with pics feel free to post up.

Nevermind on the link...can't remember how to make a word thing instead of posting the entire link so here's the rest of em....

I still have more to go through. Anyone else that was there, feell free to post the pics you have. We all ended up in seperate groups somehow anyway Sucks about the carnage on the first group that went out, but as you can see, us fellow jeepers tried to get him goin again. Out of all the parts at the shop, there wasn't a single D35 27 spline shaft

The funny thing was though...2 more TJ's tried that same rock, with the same results. So we had 3 broken right hand D35 axle shafts. One was even a chromoly one. Just goes to prove the durability of the D35.

Yep, still interested in joining the club....now make my white decals so we can see em on my jeep 20 bucks later at the car wash and I'm finally clean again.

Derek and I tried catchin back up to the rest of ya on Orange, but we stopped to help a stuck TJ out, stopped to help a XJ out that was doin a really nice stand with the driver side rear tire up in the air, and then with me gettin stuck in the no so deep lookinf hole Then at the carnage fest at the quarry, we decided there was some bad karma around there and hit the trails around the quarry. Got, back around to the quarry and ya were gone again. So we went and ran the creek and a short run on Green on the way back to the office.

If anyone knows how to get ahold of Derek, tell him to get on here and post some pics. I'm sure his girl got better pics than I did. Great run and can't wait til the next one.
