Awesome pictures and cool videos. It's beautiful there and thanks for sharing the pictures and videos with us. I would love to wheel there someday but, I really doubt I can wheel that high up on the mountains. It's very cool but, that would freak me out wheeling right next to some steep drops. Thanks again for sharing your awesome adventure and glad your small group got to your destination safely.

Just wondering... With all that awesome land you been though and taking all those pictures ... Did you see any wildlife?
If so, can you share some of those pictures as well? I love seeing pictures of wild animals when you are in an area like that. Thanks

You beat me to it

I have two 5 gallon jerry cans on the back of my jeep that I kept filled, one with water and one with gas. Don't know how many gallons we went through but we spent about $800 per vehicle on gas and the total trip was 2220 miles. Gas was our only real expense since we packed our food so it was worth the price for a week long vacation.

As for wildlife, we saw dozens of marmots all over the place. We also saw a bunch of deer. We think we saw an elk, it was really far away so we couldn't tell for sure. We were really hoping for a bear sighting but no luck.

Beautiful photos and I'm sure that was fun with a group to travel with! Plus the photos from Black Bear are great! It's amazing guys have driven pickups down that. There is a video on YouTube of a guy getting stuck on a switchback with an Explorer.

Anyway my wife and I spent time in Ouray two years ago. We didn't drive Black Bear but yes Imogene Pass and around the Alpine Loop! It was a great time and I'm hoping to get back to CO next year (my parents live just north of Ouray ).
