wont start. to hot?

so i just replaced the starter in my jeep. it now turns over but wont start. it wouldnt turn over before so i feel im on right track. any advice? i did read that on my 89 grand wagoneer wont start when its hot. and its easily 100 out right now. so i will def try after it cools down again. it ran fine then wouldnt start. it has sat in heat for two weeks without running. couldt get it done right away.

do you have fuel at the carb? In two weeks, the gas probably would drain back to the tank. Do you have gas in the tank? Two weeks in the heat would make a lot of it evaporate. My buddy just had this problem on his camaro when he replaced the distributor. I came over to time it for him cause it wouldn't start. It didn't have any gas.
After checking for gas, check for spark, then let us know where you're at.

Any vehicle, if operating correctly, shouldn't have trouble starting in weather with temps much hotter than 100.

Three things are needed for the engine to run, fuel, air, and spark. The web is full of information on how to check for all three and air is pretty much a given that you don't have to test.

its possible you just need to crank it for a while, as stated the carb can either evaporate or boil off or drain the fuel back out.
