It's a 97 5.2 and 44RE. Using the factory NP229 using a 3/4 inch spacer. Modded the factory AMC block side brackets, they lined up with the 5.2's 2wd engine mount holes.

super98lsc, I have a 5.9 in my TJ already, and that pig only gets 11mpg. I'm hoping this gets 15-16 in the Waggy.

Yah give up on economy rofl with larger motors. I bet the 5.2 will if geared and tuned well, front air dam I think will help on mine, less turbulence under truck. My plastic one is missing. Also electric fans as the electrical load placed on the alt by them is approx 1.5HP draw vs. 20 to 26HP the mechanicals use. Combine that load depending on rpm and the fact that the electrics dont force you yo accelerate all that air mass through each gear etc then you gain 1 to 2 mpg. Plus off while.cruising over 40mph etc.

Got the truck running today. Asking $1000 and taking offers. Must be gone this week! If anybody from the forum ends up buying it I will include the badges I refurbished.

got this big bastard ready to go under the front end. I think i have everything i need. It goes in tomorrow. wish me luck.

I'll either be driving around with a smile, or burning the POS to the ground in a fit of rage.

Going to bolt on the wheels and roll it around to the garage, then roll it over the springs, and then bolt it up, hsould be a piece of cake.

just in case, I'm bringing home a tree dolly from work.

I don't remember if you put oil in the new diff yet, anyway if you did, block off the vent line in some way to keep oil from coming out while rolling .
