It's actually an offenhauser intake with a rochester quadrajet carb. Picked up the edelbrock air cleaner cheap so I used it. It wasn't that bad really, doin away with all the vacuum lines was the tricky part. I also had a local shop tune the carb in for me.
Not that I want one but, that gladiator grill is still the coolest

But if you go offroad with bigger tires the box takes a lot of strain and it is mounted with a few bolts onto the frame (all on the same side).
The brace helps hold it place and from twisting on the frame. I figure it is 'cheap' insurance.

Rebuild the rear axle in the wagon axle bearings. Amazing how much quieter it is! Also rebuilt the brakes completely, new shoes, cylinders hardware. Replaced diff fluid.

Got my Racor 490R fuel filter the other day. What a beast. Hard to see in the pics but its 14" over all hight and the filter is 10" tall and 6" diameter. The self primer is a god send. I got a new (and proper) GM oil cooler as well. But the old and oil cooler, which was actually a tranny cooler, used JIC with adapters to the hoses which are pipe thread. The GM oil cooler takes internal O-Ring fittings. So I am going to have the stock lines cut and have pipe thread fittings put on. So for now I just looped the cooler lines together. No hard driving for me. Also found out that my lift pump is not a lift pump but a transfer tank pump for a gravity fed system. My cousin is sending me an aftermarket lift pump for a D-Max he can't use. So that should fix my long start problem. But for now I'm glad I have it going for the snow we just got. I had a bunch of fun bombing through 6" of it today since they don't plow. Hopefully get a video up soon!
