I did tap on the solenoid as my buddy turned the key over but nothing. No pics, but its the black canister next to the brake fluid container behind the washer fluid tub...... Maybe the tapping worked or maybe the vacuum hose was to blame. I don't have pics of mine but the1st pic in the link below shows the canister I am talking about

Vacume does nothing till the engine is running.I don't have that canister on my 90, not sure what its for. However if the battery is charged, and you hear the clicking, its probably the solenoid or loose ground. At least those are the first things I would check

That can was rusted out on mine and I tossed it now I'm only using the one that is up top towered the rear of the engine bay, I'm using it for heat cruse and every thing else that takes vacuum, that vacuum line would not make it not start, there is not vacuum until it charges the cans, it can have some leaks and still run! Was it not cranking then you hooked up that hose and it cranked??? Try unhooking the hose again and see if the same thing happens

What all did you do to fix your power locks? I am having some issues with my front doors locking and unloking when i hit the switch. My back door locks work everytime.

So I started the truck up just now and it gave me no problem. Disconnected that same vacuum hose and tried it again... it would not start. Re-connected it and it fired up again..
When I disconnected it I put my finger over it and it would make the engine shake a bit
It leads to a splitter and a hose from that goes down to the manifold.
I dunno what else to say, except for I'm glad it starts.

Also, does anyone w a 6" lift on their Wagoneer have the track bars on it?? If so, can you post or text me pics? and what brackets or track bars did you use?
I'm no longer planning on trailing with it so I have no concern for axle warp

Saul, is that thing going directly to the manifold?

Rebuilt all the lock actuators and window motors/regulators. Cost = ZERO! on the 90 Wagon. 3 Windows would move slowly, driver rear nothing at all, power locks were "trying" but would not move full distance.
I removed the motor/regulators (cable drive) on each door. Used my bench grinder with a soft brass wire wheel to clean out all the old grease from the cable drives, soaked in parts cleaner, then packed them with new White Lithium grease. I removed the motors, pulled the cover that houses the brushes, then resurfaced the commutator with 1000 grit sandpaper (NOTHING ROUGHER). Re-installed the cap and brushes after cleaning out the inside of the motor with lubricated electrical parts cleaner such as DeOxit or Orielly electrical parts cleaner + some silicon spray. Re-installed windows are fast as new. Also clean/silicon spray your channels/tracks.
The lock actuators on the 90 are motorized gear driven units. Remove them from the door, remove the end cap where the brushes are from the motor, clean the same way as the above. For these i took the entire motor shaft/comm out and put in into the end of my small 12v dewalt drill motor then poked the end shaft through a piece of 1000 grit and used it to sand the comm smooth and clean. Lubricate clean/re-install and BAM your locks will be as fast as AK-47 bump fire! So for zero bucks, i have fully working fast locks and motors on all my doors now :-) Beats the hell out of paying 65 for motors and 45 for actuators PER DOOR!
