water coming out of exhaust manifold- HELP

I recently pulled the intake off my 79 360 to replace a bad lifter and pushrod. I buttoned it back up and started it. It ran fine but there seemed to be water seaping out what really looked like under the valve cover. I thought maybe I didnt get the intake sealed up good so I pulled it off, cleaned it up again, put on new rvt again and torqued it down to 25lbs (edelbrock performer intake). Started it backup and its doing the same but worse. It looks almost like the water is coming out from the top of the exhaust manifold where it bolts to the head. Also the left bank is smoking out the tailpipe.

There is a lil smoke on the right side of the engine but I think its just from oil and antifreeze that spilled and is running off.

Any tips at all? I have had this engine down for almost a month. I just bought it from an individual who said the engine was rebuilt w/ under a thousand miles on it. Its starting to look like I got took.

It showed none of these symptoms before I pulled the intake to investigate a popping sound and lack of power that turned out to be a stuck lifter which I replaced. I am going nuts here.

Im sorry. I should have said coolant. and I used a fel-pro gasket set which included the front and rear seal and the metal valley pan. I called Edelbrock because their installation instructions call for using the pan and a set of edelbrock gaskets but their tech on the phone said the instructions were wrong and to just use the pan by itself and black rtv.

It did seem odd that their instructions would say one thing and the tech line would say another but they should be the experts, emphasizing should

Don't use regular RTV. It ALWAYS leaks on the Edelbrock intakes (at least on Jeeps) Use "Right stuff" which can be had like string cheese in a can and it seals TIGHT! (that's how I stop the valve cover leaks in those plastic covered rigs)

Is the water coming out of the exhaust manifold? Or leaking on to the exhaust manifold? If it is coming out of the exhaust you may have a bad head gasket.
