wagoneer axle shaft problems

hi i have a set of dana 44s from a wagoneer and need to pull the rear axle shafts i unbolted the 4 bolts at the ends of the housing and now cant get the shfts out does anyone have any advice or am i missing something

Pull harder. Seriously.

Slide hammer, or hook a ratchet strap to a stationary object with the other end around the flange. Tighten it one click at a time.

I have always been able to get a shaft out just by hitting it in the middle of the outside flange with a 3 lb hammer a couple of times. Just don't hit a wheel lug.
