vacuum problems
When I rebuilt my 360 I had issues with the vacuum lines, which I'm sure is nothing new. I was told to rip everything out and just run vacuum to my booster, vacuum advance on the distributer, and to leave my blow by and PCV intact. unfortunatly that left me unable to switch between heat and defrost. Could use some direction on how to run the hoses for the air control.
By the way its an 80 Jeep cherokee, four door, rebuilt 360, T176, and a dana 300 TC don't know about the front and rear end though.

I have the same problem. On my 76 there is a vacuum "tank" on the firewall that supplies vacuum to the heater control head on the instrument cluster. There are 2 other vacuum hoses that connect to this control head. I think one is for the defrost and the other floor heat. Good luck, my controls are a pain to get to.

Thanxs, but do you think it is a good idea to rip all of the other lines out.

It's ok to run your current set up but if you want the heater to work you will need to connect vacuum to the heater control swithes. Let me know how it goes.

vacume lines
Make darn sure you replace vacuum lines with new ones, one at a time with new and/or have the haynes manual/good blow up copy of where they go or you'll have a long day ahead of you......(don't ask me how I know). trust me but well worth it as with79 it also worked emergency 4wheel lock out. good luck.
